Cam Parish Council has put together a programme of fun, free events designed for Cam residents, creating opportunities for people to get active, connect with others, and make the most of local outdoor spaces throughout the season.
Sponsored by Kerry Foods, the Summer Yoga sessions promote health, wellbeing, and community participation by providing accessible outdoor exercise in a welcoming and inclusive environment. Open to all abilities, the sessions encourage residents to enjoy gentle movement, relaxation, and mindfulness while spending time in nature.
Set within local green spaces, Yoga in the Park highlights the benefits of outdoor activity for both physical and mental wellbeing. By removing barriers to participation and offering free community-based activities, the project helps more people access opportunities to improve their health and build positive social connections.
As part of the wider summer events programme, Yoga in the Park contributes to a varied calendar of activities that bring residents together, encourage the use of local parks and open spaces, and support stronger community wellbeing across Cam.
Through the support of Kerry Foods and local partners, the project demonstrates how accessible, community-focused activities can help create healthier, more connected communities while making the most of the area’s valuable green spaces.
