Residents and road users are advised that temporary traffic restrictions currently in place near Draycott Crescent, Cam, will need to remain for longer than originally anticipated while Severn Trent continue the essential sewer improvement works.
During the course of the project, engineers encountered unforeseen underground pipes and utility cables that were not identified on existing records. As a result, part of the scheme has required redesigning to ensure the work can be completed safely and effectively.
Although progress has been impacted by these unexpected findings, work is continuing as efficiently as possible, with completion now expected by mid-July 2026.
To maintain a safe working environment for both the workforce and the public, temporary traffic lights and associated traffic management measures will remain in place for the duration of the works.
Severn Trent apologises for the ongoing disruption and thanks residents and motorists for their continued patience and understanding while these essential improvements are carried out.
