Miranda has served the Cam West Ward with distinction and integrity, offering unwavering support to a wide range of local projects and community groups. As Vice-Chair of the Recreation & Leisure Committee, and a dedicated member of numerous other committees—including Finance & Policy, Events & Community Development, and Youth Services—Miranda has contributed immensely to the life of our parish.
Her calm leadership, insightful contributions, and strong sense of community have left a lasting legacy, particularly in her advocacy for young people and local charitable organisations. Her involvement with the Cam and Dursley Youth Group, Cam Institute Charity, The Greenway, Blooming Cam, and other local initiatives has been a true asset to the area.
Miranda is now setting off on a new adventure as she relocates to Scotland, and while we will miss her presence and dedication greatly, we are delighted for her as she begins this exciting new chapter.

After almost two decades of tireless service to the Cam East community and wider Gloucestershire, we extend our heartfelt thanks and best wishes to Brian Tipper as he steps back from his role in local government.
Brian first joined Stroud District Council in 2007, representing Cam East with a strong voice and an unwavering commitment to his constituents. Over the next 16 years, he became known for his deep-rooted dedication, his consistent attendance, and his passionate advocacy around Planning and Highways—especially in standing up against overdevelopment and protecting the unique character of the Cam area.
In addition to his district council role, Brian also served on Gloucestershire County Council, representing Cam Valley, continuing to bring integrity, experience, and care to everything he did.
Throughout his tenure, Brian was never afraid to speak up for what he believed in. Whether challenging inappropriate planning applications or championing the concerns of local residents, he brought a steady and principled approach to public service.
His work touched many lives, and his presence on the council will be genuinely missed by colleagues across the political spectrum.
We are also extremely proud to acknowledge Brian Tipper on being appointed as an Honorary Alderman of Gloucestershire County Council. This well-deserved recognition reflects years of dedicated public service, leadership, and unwavering commitment to the community.
Your contributions have left a lasting impact, and this honorary title stands as a testament to your integrity, hard work, and the respect you’ve earned throughout your service.
