Parents & Carer Alliance now available at Jubilee Playing Fields

Cam Parish Council is pleased to welcome the Parents & Carer Alliance (PACA) to Jubilee Playing Fields, providing a valuable local support service for parents and carers of children and young people with additional needs or disabilities.

The Parents & Carer Alliance will be available at Jubilee Playing Fields during school term time, Monday to Thursday, from 9.30am to 1.30pm.

Who can access the service?

Any parent or carer can speak to PACA if they have concerns about their child’s additional needs or disability.

Importantly, a diagnosis is not required. If you think your child may have additional needs or a disability, PACA can provide a listening ear, practical advice and support to help you navigate the SEND system.

The service is available whether you are:

  • Just beginning to have concerns about your child
  • Waiting for an assessment
  • Navigating a diagnosis
  • Already accessing additional support or services

What support is available?

The Parents & Carer Alliance is a team of independent parent carers who understand the challenges families can face, including appointments, paperwork, assessments and accessing appropriate support.

Families can visit PACA for advice and support, advocacy and help to ensure their voice is heard. The team can also provide information about short breaks for disabled children, education and training opportunities, crisis support and activities available through the Gloucestershire Holiday and Food Programme (HAF).

PACA is the HAF SEND Specialist Community Connector for Gloucestershire County Council, providing independent, parent-carer-led support to help families access suitable activities and make bookings.

Where funding is available, PACA may also be able to provide support with food parcels.

How can you access PACA?

Families can visit PACA at Jubilee Playing Fields during the opening times above. Support is available by appointment or through activity bookings.

If you are unsure what support you need, you can also contact the team directly by email and they will be happy to talk things through with you.

No diagnosis is required, no referral is needed and there is no jargon — just friendly, practical support from people who understand.

CiL Project Proposal

Complete this form if you, or an organisation you are affiliated to, have a good idea which has been thought through, planned and costed to some extent.

CiL Project Proposal Form
This must be as shown on your governing document. Your governing document could be called one of several things, depending on the type of organisation you’re applying on behalf of. It might be called a constitution, trust deed, memorandum and articles of association, or something else entirely. You might find it on a registration website - for example, Companies House or a Charities Register.
The project name should be simple and to the point
If your project covers more than one area please tell us where most of it will take place
This is the cost of everything related to your project, even things you’re not asking us to fund. For example: If you’re asking us for £100,000 and you’re getting £20,000 from another funder to cover additional costs, your total project cost is £120,000. If you’re asking us for £60,000 and there are no other costs, your total project cost is £60,000. We do not need to know where the rest of your funding’s coming from right now.
This can be an estimate
Please give us a list of budget headings (for example, salaries, running costs, training, travel, overheads and refurbishment costs). We do not need any costs attached to these yet, or a detailed list of items. If we invite you to the next stage of the application process, we’ll ask you for a more detailed project budget, including a year-by-year breakdown. But right now, we just want to check if these are things we can fund.
