Creative Community is having a wonderful time collaborating with GL11 on the Cam Mills, Oral History Project. They have been working with community groups and schools to share the memories of women who worked at Cam Mills, who made high quality fabrics for diverse products such as baize for competition snooker tables, the Kings Guards uniforms and Wimbledon’s tennis ball fluff!
This is a free workshop being run alongside Dursley Festival on Saturday 12th July 10-2pm at The Engine, 50-52 Silver Street. Visitors will be able to learn to needle felt cute little sheep, weave using naturally dyed fibres and create their own yarn from wool tops!
